It has been brought to my attention from a very reputable source that I never fully elaborated on my trip to Philadelphia last weekend...so here goes...
It's a very cool town. I actually liked it more than New York City in someways. It was big but had more of a community type feeling? if you know what i mean and it was fairly easy to get from one part of the city to another. There were a lot of old houses and history to the city that gave it character.
The food was great in almost all of the places we dined. Of note was Upstares at Varalli's. The food there was absolutely wonderful and it had a great view of Avenue of the Arts. If you get a Cheesesteak (and who could go there without getting at least one) I recommend Jim's Steaks. It was a small simple menu, but the food was decent.
There was also a plethora of places to shop in Philly which suited me just fine because I am a firm believer in Retail Therapy. =) Check out Urban Outfitters as well as Kiehl's (I already mentioned that they make fabulous lip balm...) and many many other fine retail establishments.
If you get a chance to check out the Radisson Warwick Plaza it's definately a nice place to stay. If you get the room online it won't be nearly as expensive and sometimes you can get a deal on the Concierge Floor. The hotel was pretty close to most things and if not, was only a short cab ride away.
Philadelphia is a great place for taking pictures because of all of the great old buildings and statues they have throughout the city.
All in all this was one fabulous weekend and certainly earned the title Philadelphia Extravaganza. It was excellent company in an excellent place doing not so excellent things (well for the most part we were just tourists) but it didn't matter because it was an awesome time.

So I had 2 great weekends in a row...albeit for very different reasons...but still, how lucky can a girl get?
